Currently I'm only doing guitar recording but would like the option for vocal and possibly midi should pick up a midi keyboard.Īt the moment I'm leaning towards the Presonus Inspire, I'm intriqued by the Behringer, and I've seen posts of people having issues with the M-Audio stuff and 10.5.x compatibility. At the moment I don't need a lot of different inputs at the moment but I'd like something that has versitilty should I expand. I've looked at a few including M-Audio, Behringer FCA202, PreSonus inspire 4X4 FireWire, etc. ![]() Right now the sound is obviously weak and not the greatest Quality. I realize I need a pre-amp to get a better sound. At the moment I've got my guitar patched straight from the guitar to the mic input on the back of my Mac Pro. This is my first time working with Garage Band. I also record live HDTV which chews up a good chunk of my HD. I do plan on upgrading my RAM and adding a larger HD. ![]() I currently run a Mac Pro Quad 3 Ghz Xenon with 2 GB of ram and a 250 GB hard drive. ![]() Well, if you’re mainly producing music in your DAW and not doing any recording, you probably do not need an audio interface for now. And I understand because I asked the same exact question when starting out too. I'm looking for the best value for an Audio Interface that is firewire. I raise this question a lot because many people actually ask me this.
